Hand painted and digitally rendered; This once seaworthy sailing ship now lies broken and stranded on the rocks below a lighthouse that failed in an effort to warn the unsuspecting seafarers of the danger that lies hidden beneath these treacherous waters.
About Marilyn Cullingford
The process of creating art that others can enjoy and appreciate brings immeasurable pleasure and satisfaction to my life, yet there was once a time when I truly thought that painting a beautiful landscape could only be accomplished by a trained artist; that is, until Bob Ross and his “Happy Little Accidents” came to public television. The result was a revelation! Today, all of my artwork is still hand painted using digital technology and 300 pixels of color per inch. All this means more time and effort to complete a painting, but it also gives me the ability to add the smallest of details that I love to put into my paintings.
